Lance Lidral passed away December 11, 2021 after a yearlong battle with esophageal cancer. Lance worked at Nichols Brothers Boat Builders in Freeland for almost 40 years. He was skilled at solving problems in the pipe shop, and later working with blueprints for the ships in engineering. He could swap engines on cars, and rebuild trailers with the same determination. He loved going to Chelan, and working on his property.

He is survived by his wife Mary of 33 years, brother Randy (Nycol), sister Karen (Harry), daughter Christina, son Adam (Janet), son Jason, daughter Leona (Chris), and many loved grandchildren. He also loved his dog family, and they returned the love tenfold.

There will be a Memorial service at St. Augustine’s-in-the-Woods Episcopal Church in Freeland, WA on Saturday January 15 at 1 p.m. unless more coverage restrictions are imposed. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite animal charity.
