Shop local this weekend to get a sweet treat.

The Oak Harbor Main Street Association encourages city residents to get to know their hometown merchants by taking a walk downtown.

The “Warm Your Soul With a Winter Stroll” event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. this Saturday, Jan. 29. Participating businesses will have cider, cocoa, coffee, tea and treats for patrons who stop in during the event window.

As of Monday, participating merchants include Carriage House Treasures, Casual House, Dina’s Great Finds, Garry Oak Gallery, The Hidden Gem, Lotus Tea Bar and Studio, PNW Vibes Market, Purple Moon, Rustica Italian Restaurant and Bar, Soo Berry Good, Whimsies and Wind and Tide Bookshop.

The event will be accompanied by live music at Harborside Village.
