Alice Lucille Raymond, 89, passed away December 14, 2023, in her home. She was born on May 9, 1934, one of 10 children born to Burkhart Flury and Marie Henrietta (Bentz) Flury in Comfort Township, MN. She was a member of the Coupeville United Methodist Church and a faithful member of their knitting and sewing group. Prior to moving to Whidbey Island she lived in Sacramento, CA then Poseyville, IN. Survivors include her children, MaryAlice Benvenuto (John), Sandra Kay Johnson (William), Todd B. Raymond (Vicky), Paul (LeeAnne) and Charles Andrew Raymond. Additionally, her loving step-children Carolyn Lee Raymond, Sammye Sharon Pearson and Gary Bruce Raymond (deceased). Additional survivors include her two surviving sisters, Shirley Vetter and Geraldine Ketchum as well as numerous nieces and nephews as well as grandchildren and a handful of great grandchildren.

Preceding Alice are her parents and sisters, Florence, Mildred, Grace, Vangie, Beverly and Katherine and brother Clyde.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff from Hospice of the Northwest and everyone entrusted with our mother’s care during the last month’s of her life. We are eternally grateful for the love and care she received.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11am,Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Coupeville United Methodist Church. A private (immediate family only) graveside service at Sunnyside Cemetery will follow the ceremony.
