‘Bro shorts’ causes alarm | Island Scanner

The following items were selected from reports made to the Oak Harbor Police Department.

Monday, Sept. 9

At 10:10 a.m., a North Oak Harbor Street caller reported two people have made camp on the back side of their property and are “cooking” drugs.

At 12:32 p.m., a caller on Northwest Atalanta Way reported that a man was standing right next to his vehicle while his wife was inside of it. The man then just sat in the parking spot.

At 1:12 p.m., a caller reported a full suitcase at a Southeast Regatta Drive property.

At 2:10 p.m., a caller reported a man walking with no shirt and “bro shorts” with a handgun in his pants down Northeast Regatta Drive and Northeast First Avenue.

At 2:21 p.m., a caller at a Highway 20 business reported finding blue pills in the restroom.

At 2:29 p.m., a resident reported an ongoing problem of a car alarm that kept going off on Southeast Pioneer Way.

At 2:54 p.m., a Southeast Bayshore Drive caller reported seeing multiple people’s feet inside of the bathroom.

At 8:03 p.m., a Highway 20 caller reported that a cat does not have a tail.

Tuesday, Sept. 10

At 7:33 a.m., a caller reported that a man was sleeping in an East Whidbey Avenue plot and had a candle burning.

At 3:10 p.m., a Northwest Longview Drive caller reported a fraudulent call by someone posing as the Island County Sheriff’s Office to give them $5,000 because they had missed a jury summons.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

At 8:43 a.m., a caller reported that a man in a bronze-colored Volvo parked on Southeast Jerome Street appears to be writing things down.
