Mr. Oak Harbor royalty reign for a year

In a pageant held at Oak Harbor High School on Nov. 9, the 2024 Mr. Oak Harbor Royalty were crowned.

In a pageant held at Oak Harbor High School on Nov. 9, the 2024 Mr. Oak Harbor Royalty were crowned, according to a press release.

Whidbey Royalty, a nonprofit organization, announced the 2024 Mr. Oak Harbor Court that will spend the next year of their reign serving our community. The 2024 royalty are:

Mr. Oak Harbor: Logan Hendricks First

Prince: Max Gammache

Second Prince: Aiden Mosquera

Teen Mr. Oak Harbor: Kepano Nero

Teen First Prince: Brian Goodman

Teen Second Prince: Tyler Pookphant

Contestants competed for over $11,000 in scholarships and awards in a unique six-week program that focuses on personal and professional growth through the development of leadership, communication, and marketability.

Mr. Oak Harbor is produced by Whidbey Royalty, whose mission is to inspire, challenge and mentor contestants while providing opportunities for them to develop life skills that will enhance their confidence and sense of accomplishment.

Since 2015, Whidbey Royalty has delivered more than $173,000 in scholarships and awards to local high school students. According to River Powers, board president and pageant director, the second annual Mr. Oak Harbor Scholarship Competition was a huge success.

“We had seven remarkable young men compete this season, and we delivered a lot of awards and scholarships,” she said. “All of these boys will be brilliant representatives of the organization, and our community can look forward to seeing them volunteer at a multitude of events throughout their year of reign.”
