Oak Harbor artist Kim Niles is Garry Oak Gallery’s September featured artist and host of the gallery’s First Friday event tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. Chocolates, wine and lots of art, especially Niles’ ‘KiniArt’ will be on hand.

KiniArt are small originals, affectionately referred to as ‘Mini Kini’s.’ They are virtual snapshots of the humorous way Niles sees and experiences the world around her. They are her unique style in a whimsical illustration art. Niles began these images in 2004 and authored and illustrated her own book.

Niles’ KiniArt originals are in private collections throughout the U.S., Canada, and more than 10 other countries. One of her Westie Terrier illustrations has been licensed for a wine label.
