The Coupeville track teams opened their season at South Whidbey High School Thursday, March 25.
Lakewood won the boys meet with 76.5 points, followed by South Whidbey with 55 and Coupeville with 37.5.
The schools finished in the same order in the girls meet, with the Cougars edging South Whidbey 76-75; Coupeville earned 20 points.
The CHS boys received wins from Tyler King in the 400 meters (54.07) and Hunter Hammer in the shot put (44-08.25).
Kyra Ilyankoff was a double winner for the Lady Wolves (shot put, 29-05.75; javelin, 97-01), and Jai’lysa Hoskins took the 200 (28.29).
Thursday, April 1, the Wolves go with Cedarcrest to Sultan for a 4 p.m. meet.
