Five Oak Harbor High School wrestlers placed among the top three at the Edmonds Invitational Tournament Saturday, Dec. 6.
As a team, the Wildcats placed eighth in the 20-team tournament with 85 points. Decatur took the team title with 221 points.
Jeremy Vester (145 pounds) and Jackson Constant (285) each finished second, while Christian Bertram (132), Mark Johnston (160) and Tyler Adamson (285) placed third.
“This year’s tournament was tougher than last year, and I am impressed with the victories that our first-year varsity guys were able to get,” coach Peter Esvelt said.
Oak Harbor joins Edmonds-Woodway at Glacier Peak for a double dual meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9.
