OH volleyball falls to undefeated Jackson
Oak Harbor’s volleyball team gave undefeated Jackson at scare, but the Timberwolves came back to defeat the Wildcats 3-1 Tuesday at Jackson High School.
Oak Harbor (2-2) won the first game 25-22, then fell 15-25, 22-25, 10-25, in the next three.
Coach Kerri Molitor said her team played “hard” and “with enormous heart.”
Molitor was particularily pleased with her defense against the much taller Timberwolves, who feature a 6-5 middle hitter. She said, “We did a great job defending them. Amanda Blau had some stuff blocks and there were some great digs.”
Kelsey Terrazas-Cooley had 21 digs and two aces. Marisa Sutherland had 11 kills, Melany Cone 22 assists, and Blau six blocks. Molitor said she got a consistent, solid effort out of Katelyn Bristow on both sides of the net.
