A fine ride in the ambulance

On Sunday, two weeks ago, I was transported to Whidbey General Hospital by ambulance as my left knee was so swollen I could not walk. I called 911 and within a few minutes an ambulance arrived. The EMTs, two young men, Ramon and Ryan, were very nice, and took excellent care of me.

They put me on the ambulance bed and gently wheeled me to the ambulance.  Ramon took care of me during the ride to the hospital. At the emergency room I was greeted by the nurses who were so friendly and courteous and treated by Dr. Perera who figured out what was going on and fixed me right up!

In 88 years, I have to say it was my first time calling 911, and I am thankful that we have emergency people who are so caring and professional, as well as a good hospital so close by.
