Whidbey Island Friends, also known as Quakers, holds its regular meeting for worship from 4 to 5 p.m. every Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist building located at 20103 Highway 525, about two miles north of Freeland.

This time of silent worship may include spoken messages or sharing of spiritual journeys. On the first Sunday of each month, an additional time of singing precedes the worship service at 3:30 p.m.  A 20th century Quaker, Howard Brinton, wrote in 1943: “For Friends, the most important consideration is not the right action in itself, but a right inward state out of which right action will arise.”
