Opportunity Council is recognizing its 50th anniversary this year with a community celebration at the Mount Baker Theatre in Bellingham Nov. 12.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and features speakers and videos celebrating “community action” partners and projects over the past 50 years.
“This 50-year anniversary event is an opportunity to celebrate with our former board members, employees, partner agencies, donors, elected officials, customers, supporters, and everyone who has been connected to this agency over the last five decades,” said Sheri Emerson, associate director.
Emerson said the doors open at 5 p.m. and guests are invited to enjoy music, food and a photo booth in the lobby before the program begins in the main theater at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and available in advance at the Mount Baker Theatre, www.mountbakertheatre.com, or at Village Books in Fairhaven.
