North Whidbey Little League will host Scotts Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Windjammer Park.

Boys and girls will be divided into four age groups: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14.

The local all-around champion of each age group, along with the individual winners of pitching, hitting and running, will earn berths in the sectional competition.

In all, participants will have the opportunity to advance through four levels of competition, including the team championships at Major League ballparks and then the national finals at the 2016 All-Star game in San Diego.

Last year, Oak Harbor’s Kaylee Andersen reached the third level and competed at Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners.

All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and have their parent or guardian fill out a  registration/waiver form prior to the start of competition.
