Grabbing top honors in the small co-ed division at the Klahowya Cheer Classic in Silverdale Dec. 12, the Oak Harbor High School cheer squad qualified for the state championship competition.
The Wildcat received a score of 211, topping the qualifying mark of 195 needed to advance to the WIAA State Championships in Everett Jan. 23.
Head coach Robin Gohn said, “We’re so proud of our Wildcat team’s performance. This was our first competition of the year and we are excited to have qualified for state. We have a lot of work to do but are confident that Oak Harbor will show well at the state competition.”
