“First Friday” at the Greenbank Farm Feb. 5 will feature Edmonds Winery, a new winery featured in the farm’s wine shop.
The Wine and Art Walk at the Greenbank Farm gives visitors a chance to meet the winemaker Doug Peterson and his wife Lael at the wine shop, then stroll among the three galleries and the cheese shop to sample more wines from the featured winery as well as cheeses and other goodies, view wonderful art and listen to live music.
This month has an additional treat offered of an Italian dinner created by Island Concierge’s Billy D with fanciful desserts. The dinner takes place in the historic barn and reservations are recommended. Whidbey Pies Café, normally open for these events, is not serving dinner this month, so for reservations call the wine shop at 678-7700. Guests can do just the wine and art walk or just the dinner or both. Wines offered at the dinner will be from the featured winery, Edmonds Winery.
There will be a basket full of goodies in a chance drawing that will benefit the expansion of the wine shop that the farm is undertaking. The basket will be displayed and tickets will be available the week prior to the event at the Greenbank Farm Wine Shop.
