Getting all the runs it needed in the first inning, the Marysville-Pilchuck High School baseball team finished a three-game sweep of visiting Oak Harbor with a 9-1 win Friday, April 15.
The Tomahawks (6-1, 9-3) scored twice in the opening inning and played add-on throughout the game to put away the Wildcats (2-5, 4-7).
Oak Harbor fell into a three-way tie for third with Stanwood (2-5, 4-8) and Everett (2-5, 5-7).
Oak Harbor and Stanwood tangle three times this week at 4 p.m., playing in Oak Harbor on Tuesday and Friday and in Stanwood Wednesday.
The in final M-P game, singles by Tyler Snavely and Rob Herring in the sixth inning produced Oak Harbor’s only run.
Chad Spradlin doubled and Preston Rankin and Dylan Bailey singled for the other Oak Harbor hits.
