Four Coupeville High School baseball players earned first-team, all-conference honors, the Olympic League announced Wednesday, May 20.
Senior Aaron Curtin and junior C.J. Smith were selected first-team pitchers, senior Josh Bayne was named to the first-team outfield and junior Cole Payne was tabbed the first team’s utility player.
Bayne was a second-team choice and Smith honorable mention last season when the Wolves played in the Cascade League.
Curtin, Bayne and senior Aaron Trumbull were named team captains at Coupeville’s awards banquet Tuesday; they also received four-year participation awards.
Other letter winners were seniors Carson Risner and Kyle Bodamer; juniors Smith and Payne; sophomores Gabe Wynn and Clay Reilly; and freshman Hunter Smith.
Coach Willie Smith also announced he is stepping down as varsity coach after 19 years at the helm.
