Oak Harbor student serves as page in Olympia

VIOLET WOLFKILL-YAPLE, a student in Oak Harbor School District’s Home Connection program, served as a page in the Washington State House of Representatives.

VIOLET WOLFKILL-YAPLE, a student in Oak Harbor School District’s Home Connection program, served as a page in the Washington State House of Representatives.

Sponsored by state Rep. Jeff Morris, D-Mount Vernon, she is the daughter of Robert Yaple of Bellingham and Amber and Merritt Wolfkill of Greenbank.

Pages perform a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor.

Wolfkill-Yaple participates in a marimba band, and has played the percussion instrument for four years.

Her sister, Willow, was also a page in Olympia.
