The Oak Harbor High School baseball team doubled up visiting Everett 8-4 Friday, April 25.

Oak Harbor had 11 hits, only one more than Everett, but slugged seven doubles to power by the Seagulls.

Everett led off the game with a hit and error to score the game’s first run.

In the second inning, a walk to Brandon Bailey and doubles by Clay Doughty and C.J. Meders made it 2-1, Oak Harbor.

Everett regained the lead in the third, scoring two runs on five hits.

Oak Harbor got the runs back in their half on doubles by Kevin Johnson, Brent Mertins and Bailey.

The Seagulls tied the score at 4 in the fifth inning with a double (their only extra base hit of the game) and single.

Oak Harbor plated four in the bottom of the fifth on a single by Teddy Peterschmidt, doubles by Nate Stanford and Meders, a walk and two errors.

Johnson finished 3-for-3 with a double and run. Meders was  2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a run and two RBI.

Peterschmidt was 2-for-3 with a double and RBI. He also threw a complete game with one strike out, no walks and one hit batter.

Oak Harbor (4-9, 4-12) and Everett (1-10, 1-13) conclude their three-game series at 4 p.m. Monday, April 28, in Everett.

The Wildcats host Glacier Peak (7-7, 7-10) at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 30.
