Wasn’t there better news to put on the front page than a bunch of people complaining about jet noise? When told in advance there will be airplane noise and they move there anyway, they have no cause to complain.

We’ve lived in north Oak Harbor since 1978, right under the landing pattern no one told us about. We’ve raised our son, lots of birds and animals, and we’ve all survived quite nicely. Yes it is noisy, but you wait for them to pass and carry on.

We have no sympathy for the whiners in Coupeville. Those pilots risk their lives every day for this country and they need that training. I’d like to see one of the complainers try to land a jet on a moving target in the middle of the ocean in the pitch dark.
