The 33rd Annual Whidbey Island Race Week included dinghy/small boat racing for the first time, and 45 boats took advantage of the opportunity.
Two divisions (split into five classes) each raced three times over the weekend, June 18 and 19.
Austin Hauter and Shawn O’Connor represented Oak Harbor and finished second and fourth overall in the seven-boat Portsmouth class.
Hauter, the skipper of OH3, finished second in all three races. O’Connor was third twice and fourth once.
William and Darlene Stange of Hansville guided Tuesday to first by placing first in two of the races and fourth once.
