Two Oak Harbor High School golfers were in the top 10 after the first day of the District 1 Girls Golf Tournament at Stanwood’s Kayak Point Golf Course Tuesday, May 17.

The tournament concludes Wednesday, and the top 18 finishers earn slots in the state tournament.

Oak Harbor senior Resego Mooki (92 strokes) is in third place and sophomore Hannah Taylor (98) is tied for ninth. Meadowvale’s Morgan Rood sits in first with an 81.

Wildcat junior Jessica Monaghan (104) is 24th, senior Terra Baird (109) 33rd, sophomore Beth Paul (113) 40th and senior Suzanne Kaltenbach (115) 43rd out of 61.

The top 36 from day one compete in the final day of the district tournament.
