Editor,
In case you hadn’t noticed, there is a newcomer to the state political scene who finished second in the primary race for state representative in the 10th Legislative District.
His name is Nick Petrish.
Nick is a third-generation activist who grew up in Anacortes and now lives on Big Lake. He is a pro-labor Democrat who is a hunter, believes in responsible gun ownership, and has many new and creative ideas on how to deal with the problems facing our state.
Nick believes that people who work hard and play by the rules deserve a fair shot at the American dream.
Nick’s concrete proposals are in stark contrast to the tepid record of his incumbent opponent Dave Hayes.
Further highlighting this difference, Nick Petrish has been endorsed by his other Republican opponent, Brian Lillquist.
In his endorsement, Lillquist emphasized the importance of having a representative who will actually do something.
I urge you to check out Nick Petrish and, regardless of your political party, consider voting for him as someone who will work for the people of the 10th Legislative District.
Thank you for your consideration.
