Boosters hold golf tourney

The Coupeville Boosters Club holds its second annual golf tournament at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Gallery Golf Course.

Full round tickets are $100, which includes green fees and cart, plus dinner, auction and a drink coupon. Student tickets are $60, which allows students to participate in just the golfing, without bearing the cost of the evening festivities.

Dinner tickets are $40 for those who would like to support the Booster programs but do not wish to participate in the golfing.

Registration will begin at 11:30 p.m., with shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Gallery Golf Course Pro Mike Fields will conduct a half-hour free clinic for participants at the driving range from 12 to 12:30 p.m.

Awards will be given for both men and women golfers for longest drive and longest putt.

There will also be awards for closest to the pin, lowest team score and, of course, a hole-in- one.

To help in this endeavor a golfer may also purchase up to five mulligans.

Dinner, auction and awards will be held at the CPO Club on Ault Field Road starting at 6 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the athletic programs at the Coupeville High School.

Businesses or individuals wishing to help sponsor this event may also contribute. Space is limited and registrations are due by Sept. 1.
