Wells Fargo & Company will contribute $10,000 to Northwest Coalition Against Trafficking, an awareness and education arm of Soroptimist International Northwestern Region.
The donation is in honor of Stephanie Smith, to recognize the valuable contributions she has made to the organization, through its Volunteer Service Award program.
Smith, a Wells Fargo Learning & Development team member, is based in Oak Harbor and has been involved with Soroptimist since 1986. She has held various leadership positions, including president of Venture Clubs of the Americas where she presided over clubs in the United States, Japan and the Philippines.
As a Soroptimist, Smith has served as president, vice president, treasurer and various committee chairs for her local club. Regionally, she’s served in a variety of positions, including her current role as the region’s professional leadership development coordinator and NWCAT advisory council and fundraising chair.
The Volunteer Service Award will be donated to NWCAT/Soroptimist Northwestern Region for the human trafficking fund.
