Surprise! Surprise!

The state Legislature voted to ignore the vote of the people of this state so they can tax more with only a majority.

Our state Legislature doesn’t get it any more than members of Congress. Enough is enough with taxes.

I have two suggestions for wiping out our state deficit:

1. Reduce the number of state employees to the number when Gov. Gregoire took office.

2. Reduce the wages and benefits of the state employees to a level comparable with those in the private sector.

One other note. In addition to requiring law enforcement employees to tell the truth, shouldn’t they add legislators and elected officials to obey that requirement, too?
