Claudia Anderson should know that the people “that complain about noise” care about the safety of the pilots flying the airplanes as well as the safety of people on the ground.

These pilots are not given a choice.

They are directed to use a concrete strip, that was laid down in a hay field 70 years ago, to gain proficiency in landing on an aircraft carrier.

The flight patterns, that the pilots are required to fly, take them over a 400- home subdivision that the Navy designated as an accident potential zone.

The designation was made after the homes were built.

“Those that complain” are concerned about the safety of these people as well as the pilot.

“Those that complain” believe that the Navy should provide pilots, who fly high performance aircraft, with a “state of the art” training facility that assures the safety of the people on the ground as well as the safety of pilots when they land on an aircraft carrier.

Ear plugs are not the answer.
