Editor,

A few weeks ago, I wrote a letter regarding the theft of recyclable wiring from the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The letter generated interest beyond our expectations.

Whitehead-Muzzall Post No. 7392, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., would like to extend a public thank you to Blue Mountain Electric and Burley’s Funeral Chapel, Inc. for their generous donations to help offset our loss.

This money was totally unexpected, but sincerely welcomed. It warms our hearts to know that there are companies that do remember veterans and the sacrifices they made for this country.

Words cannot express the gratitude we have for these people and hope that this letter to the editor will help make the public aware that there are still a number of good-hearted people willing to help those who help others.
