Joan Cross makes a bad-logic jump that unborn babies are their own species in her letter to the editor, “I-1401 protects animals; what about unborn?”

Unborn babies are “pre-humans” that are about to add to the seven billion humans that are already here.

They are not miracles nor are they in short supply. Humans may be the most numerous mammal on earth.

Rats and mice are also in the running with nearly the same populations.

Humans are not endangered, we endanger. Forcing more children into the world is not the answer.
