Sequim eventually wore down the Coupeville High School soccer team on the way to a 7-2 win over the Wolves at Mickey Clark Field Tuesday, March 22.

Coupeville scored first when Zane Bundy found the net off an assist from Abraham Leyva Elenes.

Sequim (1-2) struck back with pair of goals.

Coupeville quickly tied it, when Leyva Elenes and Bundy reversed roles, with Leyva Elenes scoring off a pass from Bundy.

From there, Sequim took over, according to Coupeville coach Kyle Nelson.

“They were a big, strong and quick team that in the end was able to over power us,” he added.

Coupeville (0-3) and Vashon Island (2-1) meet in Coupeville at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 29.
