Coupeville siblings Austin and Christine Fields each qualified for the state 1A golf tournament after playing quality rounds at the tri-district tournament at the Gold Mountain Golf Course in Bremerton Tuesday, May 15.

After finishing eighth in the district meet at North Bellingham Golf Course May 10 with an 83, Austin Fields jumped to fourth at tri-district with a 78.

The Coupeville junior also qualified for state last spring were he placed 37th.

Joe Harvie of Orting won tri-district with a 75.

Christine Fields, a freshman, shot 91 and placed seventh in tri-district. She carded a 101 and was fourth as district.

Life Christian Academy’s Madisen Bently was the tri-district medalist with a 79.

The Coupeville pair, the only golfers for the Wolves, also earned first-team, all-Cascade Conference honors.

The top 18 from tri-district qualified for the state championships at The Home Course in DuPont Tuesday and Wednesday, May 22 and 23.
