I wanted to say a special word of thanks to those who helped with the fundraiser, “The Empire Gives Back,” over the Holland Happening weekend. I do not have the names of some helpers but you know who you are: Special thanks to Barbara Johnson (and all her Red Cross volunteers) and Erika and Jesse Miller (and Navy friends).

Thanks to our community helpers: Kyle, Cal, Scott, Audrie, Calvin, Stormee, Les and Emilly and rounds of applause to our guests from the 501st Legion (Garrison Titan and the Rebel Alliance).

Congratulations to Misty Garcia, Hunter Bos, Carlos Hernandez, and Alana Miller who all won certificates and prizes in our Star Wars coloring contest.

Feedback from the 501st is that they all enjoyed their visit to our community and found the welcome you gave them refreshing. Because of your welcome to them, and making them feel like they were “at home,” they might very well come and be with us again. So thanks, Oak Harbor.
