Suffering its first loss of the season, the Oak Harbor youth football senior division Wildcats fell 22-14 to Sedro-Woolley in the North Cascade League championship game at Mount Vernon High School Saturday, Nov. 9.
Two long touchdown runs by Mac Carr wasn’t enough to carry the Wildcats (10-1) to the win over the Cubs (8-3).
Oak Harbor coach Marcus Carr said, “The boys played real hard and had a great season, and I am very proud of all of them. It an honor and a privilege to be able to coach a great group of young men, and my assistant coaches are the best coaches I have ever coached with.”
“The future is bright for Oak Harbor High School football as all of these young men will be playing freshman football next year,” Carr added. “I can see another trip to the state finals for Oak Harbor in the next few years.”
