Editor,

On Dec. 14 a former Marine gallingly told a Skagitonian Navy Leaguer and aviation photographer to “keep your opinion to yourself.”

Yet, he had no complaints about outside Sierra Club influence?

One reason why this aviation photographing Skagitonian, excited at being 525 feet away from Outlying Field Coupeville, speaks is, while my fellow Skagitonians use OLF Coupeville to train for our common defense, we also have two unsafe bridges over the Skagit River endangering more people that need replacement.

Therefore, since Congressman Rick Larsen said he doesn’t support closing OLF Coupeville, if Central Whidbey gets a likely more expensive new OLF instead of fair compensation to exfiltrate for horribly lame noise disclosures, then Skagitonians deserve two new bridges from the same federal government also.

In all fairness, I gave the U.S. Navy a scoping petition with 1,600-plus signatures of support for OLF Coupeville plus costing of alternatives which merits fair press coverage please.
