Coupeville High School graduate EILEEN KENNEDY, assistant professor of pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences in the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, received a National Cancer Institute Transition Career Development Award from the National Institutes of Health for more than $570,600. Her project will study breast cancer. Kennedy chose to focus on cancer due to family deaths from cancer, including her father, James. Kennedy was valedictorian of her graduating class in 1995. Her mother is Marina Kennedy.
