The Community Foundation for Coupeville Public Schools would like to thank the generous individuals and businesses that contributed to the funding of mini grants in our schools. Mini grants are available to teachers, who apply for them, to support school-related projects, programs, acquisitions, or activities that are “extras” and would not typically be funded by the school district. Recently, 13 such mini grants were awarded to teachers for a variety of interesting projects.
Coupeville Elementary received three mini grants for field trips and music materials. The middle school mini grants helped pay for two field trips and life skills materials, and video cameras for a communication class. At the high school mini grants helped purchase calculators, a digital microscope, building materials for a history project, a field trip, and partial funding for a drama competition. Cedar School had environmental science materials covered by mini grant funding.
Again, the Coupeville School Foundation thanks the community for its continued support of our teachers and students. If you would like to donate or learn more about the mission of the foundation, mini grants, senior scholarships or the Needy Kids fund, please view our Web site at www.4coupevilleschools.org. We appreciate your interest.
