The Oak Harbor High School tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a 5-2 loss to visiting Marysville Getchell Tuesday, May 5.

The Oak Harbor High School tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a 5-2 loss to visiting Marysville Getchell Tuesday, May 5.

The Wildcats (4-6, 5-10) finished fourth in the Wesco North; Getchell (7-3, 9-5) claimed second.

Oak Harbor will now compete in the Wesco 3A North tournament at 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, May 12 and 13, at Stanwood.

The Wildcats’ two wins against Marysville Getchell came in the first two doubles matches. Tamia Rios and Alyssa Eden won 7-6(4) and 6-0, while Hannah Gluth and Ellysa Bonganay won 6-4, 6-7(5), 10-7.

Patrice Woodworth and Ria Bains fell in third doubles 7-6(7) and 6-3.

Oak Harbor dropped all four singles matches: 1, Makenzie Perry lost 6-3, 6-2; 2, AnnaBelle Whitefoot lost 6-1, 6-0; Bonganay lost 6-2, 6-3; and 4, Lauren Aspery lost 6-1, 6-1.
