As I sit here today, contemplating how much I am going to have to pay for a gallon of gasoline when I get off of work, I wonder where is this United States headed?
We are in dire straits with our jobs being farmed out to overseas countries, our corn fields are being sold for fuel rather than food, and our Congress takes a holiday break.
We, the average citizens, can’t take a break because the price of gasoline, food and everyday needs has skyrocketed. I wonder just how many Congressmen and woman drive their own car and have pain at the pump. Do they do their own grocery shopping? Do they not see that the people they were elected to represent are suffering and it gets worse every single day?
The bogus investigation into Big Oil scalping the citizens was amusing, and again Congress did nothing. The so called “tax incentive” was swallowed up by higher food and gas prices so that didn’t stimulate the economy. We as the suffering citizens need to send a loud and clear message to Congress and the President that we are fed up with a do nothing government, both Democrat and Republican.
They reward themselves with pay raises for doing nothing. They take more vacation days than they actually work and let’s not mention all of the quirks that go along with being a senior executive within the U.S. government. It’s time they did something to earn what we pay them.
I urge each and everyone of you reading this to send a message to your government expressing exactly how you feel. Maybe if we all did this, they would get the message and fix some of the problems.
