The following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office:
Wednesday, April 4
At 1:28 a.m., a caller reported that a drunk man was “throwing and spraying things” in the roadway on Oak Harbor Road.
At 5 p.m., a Wandering Lane resident reported that a co-worker’s wife kept sending harassing text messages. The caller received 20 threatening messages a day, plus voicemail messages.
At 5:05 p.m., there was a report of a blue kayak tipped over under Deception Pass Bridge.
At 10:31 p.m., an Advance Drive resident reported that a deaf and blind English bulldog was missing.
Tuesday, April 3
At 11:40 a.m., a state wildlife official reported that an injured deer was found on a tarp with a blanket over it near Deer Ridge Lane. The animal had a piece of scalp pulled back and its ears were missing.
At 12:44 p.m., a Black Road resident reported that a man left a message on her machine admitting that he stole items, including “brass steam whistlers and Navy items.”
Monday, April 2
At 8:13 p.m., a Soundview Lane resident reported that someone broke into a shed and stole a generator. The caller said there were tire tracks all across his yard.
Sunday, April 1
At 4:10 a.m., a Harrington Road resident reported that his granddaughter sent a threatening letter.
At 9:23 a.m., there was a report that a brown bull was out of its enclosure on Highway 20 across from Jones Road.
At 10:08 a.m., a woman reported two dogs running around Walker Avenue and trying to attack her cat.
At 1:08 p.m., there was a report that two orange barrel barricades and two signs on sawhorses were stolen from Camp Casey.
At 1:43 p.m., a caller reported that two ducks were waddling in the Dewey Drive area. One of the ducks looked “in bad shape” and had a problem with its bill.
Friday, March 30
At 2:27 p.m., a Whitney Drive resident reported that two boys who are staying with her son may be runaways.
At 3:15 p.m., a caller reported “strange subjects” had a bonfire going at the county park at the end of Libbey Road.
At 3:50 p.m., a caller reported that a semi truck went down Ridgeview Drive and pulled down power lines and poles. The lines were torn off a house and pulled the roof apart. The truck was white and had an “E” on the side.
At 5:20 p.m., a Sidney Street resident reported that a man called, accused him of harassing his uncle and threatened to kill him.
At 6:10 p.m., a Deer Ridge Road resident reported that neighbors had been stealing his chickens. The caller has video evidence of the poultry thefts.
At 8:31 p.m., a W. Henni Road resident asked if it’s legal for her to put a “magnet” on her car that states she was wronged by a business in town.
