Youth group heads

to San Francisco

Whidbey Presbyterian Church youth group, under the leadership of Youth Director Justin Ross, will be traveling to San Francisco July 10, on their mission trip.

They will be helping out at the Salvation Army, the food banks, and with an agency called Project Open Hand.

Peace and joy talks at Unitarian Universalists

Even with our distress about world events held compassionately in our hearts, we can find joy and peace in any circumstance. Rev. Amanda Aikman will share four simple spiritual and physical movements that take us into joy, wherever we are during the Unitarian Universalist Congregation Sunday Service July 4 beginning at 10 a.m. The service is at 10 a.m. at 20103 Highway 525, just north of Freeland. Christian Science it is the Science of Christianity – the practical application of Christian ideas to daily life. It’s both a religion and a system of healing founded on the Bible’s universal truths. First Church of Christ, Scientist is located at 721 SW 20 Court, Oak Harbor Services and Sunday school are at 10 a.m. Wednesday evening testimony meetings are at 7:30 p.m. The Christian Science Reading Room is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
