Paced by three high point winners, four club records and a bevy of personal bests, the North Whidbey Aquatic Club girls team won the Spring Thunderbird meet in Anacortes last weekend.

The Blue Heron topped the girls field, beating runner up Fife Area Swim Team by 30 points.

Haley Borja, 8, Jasmine Borja, 11, and Alana Miller, 10, captured overall high point honors for their divisions.

“To repeat as high point champion in two consecutive local swim meets like this says a great deal about these three girls’ consistency, dedication and determination, as well as their ability to dominate the local competition,” coach Dick Taylor said.

Haley Borja posted three NWAC meter short course records (50 free, 35.01; 50 back, 43.08; and 400 IM, 7:28.6); and Miller set a new NWAC mark in the 100 back (1:21.81).
