The Coupeville High School tennis team dodged rain just enough to slip by visiting Granite Falls 3-1 Monday, March 14.
Valen Trujillo collected a 6-4, 6-0 win in first singles; while the first and second doubles teams of Peyton Aparicio/Sage Renninger (6-2, 6-0) and Jazmine Franklin/McKenzie Bailey (6-4, 6-3) also won.
Bree Daigneault dropped second singles 6-3, 6-1.
Kenzi LaRue (third singles) and Maggie Crimmins/Kameryn St. Onge (third doubles) had their matches halted because of rain.
The Wolves play at Port Angeles at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 17.
