Photojournalist receives Ruby Award

Freelance photojournalist and writer Lee Karen Stow will receive Soroptmist International of Coupeville’s Ruby Award for her work documenting the struggles of the women and children in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Freelance photojournalist and writer Lee Karen Stow will receive Soroptmist International of Coupeville’s Ruby Award for her work documenting the struggles of the women and children in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

The Ruby Award, which is given to heroic women who work to improve the lives of others, will be presented to Stow at the Coupeville branch of Sno- Isle Regional Library on Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m.

A reception will be held in honor of Stow where she will share her images with Soroptmist members and the public.
