Taking down both Marysville high schools, the Oak Harbor swim team added two more checks to their win column Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Marysville-Pilchuck.
The Wildcats defeated Marysville Getchell 112-70 and M-P 128-39.
Oak Harbor raised its record to 6-3; the Marysville schools both fell to 2-7.
The best showing by the Wildcats came in the 200-meter individual medley, where Jose Cabigting (2:33.83), Cullen Wood (2:35.09) and Logan Clark (2:51.47) swam to a 1-2-3 finish.
Joe Gorman and Micah Geist each took part in four wins.
Gorman won the long freestyles (200, 2:04.14; 500, 5:20.03), while Geist captured the 100 butterfly (59.63) and 100 backstroke (1:02.38).
Derek Volt and Michael Bukolt joined Gorman and Geist on the winning 200 free relay team (1:44.85); and Eric Jensen and Dakota Powers teamed with the pair while winning the 400 free relay (3:42.46).
Coach Erin Bull called the 400 relay the “race of the night” as most members dropped time, including anchor Powers, who clocked a season best 52.9.
Powers (1:12.7) also won the 100 breaststroke.
Bull liked the effort of her 100 free swimmers, with Bukolt (59.36) going under one minute for the first time and Garth Westcott (1:00.5) trimming two seconds off his personal best.
Garrett Karney (200 free, 2:29.75) and Logan Clark (200 IM, 2:51.47) each cut four seconds off their marks, Bull said.
Oak Harbor goes to the Mount Vernon YMCA to meet the Bulldogs (5-1) at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22.
