The Oak Harbor High School girls cross country team placed second and the boys third in a four-team meet at Jackson High School in Mill Creek Thursday, Sept. 17.
Kamiak easily won the girls meet over the 2.5-mile course with 23 points, topping Oak Harbor (44), Jackson (59) and Cascade (102).
Jackson claimed the boys meet with 29 points, followed by Kamiak (48), Oak Harbor (77) and Cascade (80).
Alexis Smith (16:14), Tamia Rios (16:15) and Carolynn Wicker (16.26) finished 5-6-7 to lead the Oak Harbor girls.
Emma Lerch (16:32) placed 11th and Olivia Flack (16:51) 15th.
Miguel Guzman topped the Oak Harbor boys, nabbing ninth in 13:44. Also scoring for the Wildcats were Tyler Grehan (14th, 13:57) Michael Lym (19th, 14:07), Caleb Peek (21st, 14:09) and Ben Gasper (33rd, 14:54).
Oak Harbor travels to Skagit Valley College to face Mount Vernon and Stanwood at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.
