The Oak Harbor girls cross country team finished 15th and the boys 18th at the 72-team Hole in the Wall meet at Lakewood High School Saturday, Oct. 6.

Alex Laiblin (19:48.5) finished 33rd out of 167 in the 5K girls varsity race. She was followed by Christina Wicker (58th, 20:26.8), Marisa Sligh (103rd, 21:26.9), Rachel Crowther (114th, 21:44) and Jonalynn Horn (139th, 22:49.3).

For the boys varsity, John Rodeheffer (16:39.4) placed 28th and fifth among sophomores out of 213. Also running the varsity race were Jason Salas (98th, 17:31.8), Gavin Stewart (109th, 17:39.1), Isaac Matthews (110th, 17:39.7), Nathan Wagner (130th, 17:55.7), Clayton Richardson (135th, 17:58.9) and Caley Powers (181st, 18:43.6).

The Wildcats’ next competition is the divisional meet Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville.
