The Island County Sheriff’s Office reports that 27-year-old sex offender is homeless in Oak Harbor.

Christopher Miller is classified a Level 2 sex offender, which means he’s considered a moderate risk of reoffending. He wasn’t allowed to live in his parents’ home because of rules barring sex offenders from the particular mobile home park, his attorney explained at a recent court hearing.

As a result, Miller currently has nowhere to live and has to check in with the Department of Corrections on a regular basis.

Miller pleaded guilty last year to rape of a child in the first degree. He confessed to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl on multiple occasions while babysitting her, according to the public notification from the sheriff’s office.

Miller told police that he had sexually assaulted as a child and wanted to get help for his problem, according to court documents.

Miller is described as a white man, five-foot-nine, 125 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
