In the recent article Mayor Scott Dudley is quoted as saying, “I think it would have raised eyebrows” to keep (Steve) Powers in the position, he said last week.

The mayor never asked my opinion concerning Mr. Powers and how I felt about his interim city administrator job. Mr. Powers has been most professional and even keeled in keeping up with two jobs and providing superb leadership! I would have welcomed his continuation in this position.

I was grossly misrepresented by the mayor’s comments in the newspaper. He has hardly ever spoken to me much less ever asked my opinion on anything. He does not speak for me.
