Putting together its finest match of the season, the Coupeville High School soccer team blanked Cascade Christian 3-0 Friday, April 8, in Puyallup.

The Wolves arrived late because of heavy traffic, but the delay didn’t bother Coupeville.

“We played our best game to date,” coach Kyle Nelson said. “A very balanced game with some great defense and a quick attack going forward.”

Sebastian Davis, assisted by Abraham Leyva Elenes, opened the scoring.

Leyva Elenes then added his own goal, followed by Zane Bundy with an assist from Zack Nall.

Keeper Connor McCormick registered is second consecutive shutout as the Wolves posted their second win after opening the season 0-4-1. Cascade Christian dropped to 0-5.

Coupeville goes to Forks (1-5) for a 3:30 p.m. match Monday, April 11. The Wolves defeated the Spartans 3-0 April 4.
