We get to vote them out

Ho hum. Another State of the Union address, loaded with the same old ideas that brought us the Obama Recession.

More tax increases. More spending. More “green energy,” or “clean energy,” or “pocketful of magic beans energy,” basically any type of pie-in-the-sky energy except the kind that creates jobs.

You’d think the guy would come up with a new idea or two, just to see if we’re paying attention.

Sure, the economy is getting better. Of course, that’s only because the president who drove the economy “out of the ditch” took us over the cliff and we’ve finally crashed at the bottom. Luckily, Republican control of the House of Representatives has put out the flames, but the economy is still worse than it was on the day the president was sworn in.

Most likely, that’s where the economy will stay until Democrats are out of power at all levels of government, whether it’s the president, congressional spendthrift Democrats like Rick Larsen, or county commissioners like Angie Homola, who use tax increases as a substitute to budgetary discipline.

Luckily, we will get to vote them all out this year. I can’t wait, and neither can our economy!
